Relevant Work Experience

• 1985-1989: Conducted prayer services and read from the Torah for the High Holidays at country communities throughout South Africa, whose attendance varied from 50 to 500.
• 1991-1993: Conducted prayer services and read from the Torah at Gallo Manor Ohr Samayach, Johannesburg. (250 congregants)
• 1994-1995: Led the Shacharit and Mincha service and read from the Torah at Waverley Hebrew Congregation Overflow Service, Johannesburg (350 congregants)
• 1996: Led Musaf and Neilah Services at Oxford Hebrew Congregation Alternative minyan, Johannesburg, (150 congregants)
• 1997-1998: Conducted all services and read from the Torah at the Bulawayo Hebrew Congregation, Zimbabwe (300 congregants)
• 1999: Led Musaf services and read from the Torah portion on the High Holidays at Mill Hill United Synagogue, London (600 congregants)
• 2001: Conducted Shacharit service and read from the Torah portion on the High Holidays at Edgware Yeshurun, London (700 congregants)
• 2002: Conducted services, read from the Torah portion, and delivered lectures at a Passover Program in Faro, Portugal attended by 100 families originating from the United Kingdom, United States, and Switzerland.
• 2002- 2005: Conducted various services, read from the Torah, and conducted a Question and Answer seession on the High Holidays at Northwood United Synagogue, London (600 congregants). In the summer of 2003, 2004, and 2005 filled in for the rabbi, conducted all services on the Sabbath, read from the Torah, delivered sermons, and gave over Talmudic lessons.
• 2005- 2006: In the summer of 2005 and Passover 2006 conducted services, read from the Torah and delivered sermons at Clayhall United Synagogue, London.
• 2001- 2005: Freelance lecturer on various topics in Judaism, subjects of expertise include: nineteenth century Jewish history, Israel- Diaspora relations and the Religious/ Secular divide.
